Grocery task force to find new businesses to fill Dominick`s vacancies

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Mayor Emanuel's grocery task force says it's top priority is finding new businesses to move into five Dominick's stores.

The vacant stores are in the South Shore, West Ridge, Norwood Park, Lincoln Square, and Near North neighborhoods.

Mayor Emanuel formed the task force in November, after Dominick's announced it was pulling out of the Chicago area.

The task force says these five specific locations are especially important to their neighborhoods.

The city is trying to get large grocery chains and independent operators to consider moving in.
