Woman with Alzheimer's missing from Austin

UPDATE: Aldene Hatchatt, 81, was found safe Sunday evening.

An elderly woman suffering from Alzheimer's disease and dementia was reported missing Sunday from the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

Aldene Hatchatt, 81, was last seen at her home in the 1600 block of North Mason Avenue, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

Along with Alzheimer's, the woman is a diabetic who also suffers from dementia, police said.

Hatchatt is described as a 5-foot-6, 176-pound black woman with gray hair and dark complexion. She was last seen wearing white gym shoes, black pants, a brown coat and a black hat, police said.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call Area North detectives at 312-744-8200.
