BARRINGTON, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A body found Christmas Day in a forest preserve in Barrington Hills has been identified as that of a missing northwest suburban man, police said Thursday.

The body of a 37-year-old man was found Wednesday in Spring Creek Valley Forest Preserve near 361 Bateman Road in Barrington Hills, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

He has since been identified as Robert Hovinen, of the 25200 block of Ivanhoe Road in Wauconda, who went missing Monday from Skeeters, a bar in the northwestern suburb, authorities said.

An autopsy Thursday was inconclusive pending toxicological reports, according to the medical examiner's office.

The Cook County Sheriff's office is investigating, but does not suspect foul play in the case, spokesman Benjamin Breit said.
