Man shot during home invasion in Belmont Cragin, three in custody

A man was shot multiple times during an apparent home invasion Tuesday morning in the Northwest Side Belmont Cragin neighborhood.

The man, 46, was wounded during the apparent home invasion in the 2700 block of North Mango Avenue about 9:30 a.m., said police News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic.

He was shot in the head and chest and taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he is in serious but "stable" condition, Sedevic said.

Three possible suspects are in custody in connection with the shooting, Sedevic said.

Area North detectives are investigating.
