CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police are asking for the public's help in finding an elderly woman with Alzheimer's disease who went missing Christmas Eve from west suburban Cicero.

Mincha Hurley, 68, went missing about 7:30 a.m. from the Shamrock Motel, at 1212 S. Cicero Ave., according to an endangered missing person alert from Cicero police.

Hurley speaks English, but may not answer to her name because she suffers from Alzheimer's disease, which may interfere with her communications, police said. Korean is most likely the language she will be speaking.

She is described as a 5-foot, 165-pound Asian American woman with long black hair, police said.

Hurley was last seen wearing glasses and a black fur coat with a hood, police said. She may be carrying a bag full of clothes.

She has gone missing before and was located once at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood and once on the North Side of Chicago, police said.

Police said she may flag down cars for a ride and could be looking for her family in Korea.

Anyone with information on Hurley's whereabouts is asked to contact Cicero police at (708) 652-2130.
