Chicago hotel offering free rooms to Packers fans if Green Bay beats Bears

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Officials at The Westin O'Hare in Rosemont say they are so confident that the Chicago Bears will beat the Green Bay Packers next Sunday, they're offering a special "Packers Challenge" promotion.

Packer fans who book a two-night stay at the Westin O'Hare next weekend will receive their second night free if Green Bay prevails.

"We're not worried about the Packers beating our Bears in the regular season finale-especially when it's being played at Soldier Field," says Westin O'Hare General Manager Pete Demay. "We've backed our Bears all year long and welcome any and all Packers fans to take us up on our challenge."

Alright, so the Bears went down 54 to 11 to the Eagles. Is the hotel thinking about going back on that offer?

"Not at all," the Westin's Katie Wedster says. "Because we know they want to win at home, they're here on their home turf. So they are 100 percent going to win this time."

FOX 32 decided to go to Will's Northwoods Inn--one of the hubs for cheesehead gatherings--to get fan's take on the offer.

"I think that's awesome," Packers fan Derek Diesner says. "I think my whole family would do that. They'd be very excited about that."

"Uh, don't like it," Bears fan John Reba responds. "They should stay out of Illinois."

Bears fans understand this is a good way to get people to stay at the hotel, although they seem to disagree with doing anything for Packers fans.

Advance reservations are required, and space is limited. Prices start at just $119 per night. For more information or to book the Packers Challenge, call The Westin O'Hare at (847) 698-6000.
