A woman who eluded Texas authorities for nearly four decades and was caught in Farmington Hills, Mich. is the sister-in-law of former college and professional basketball star Jalen Rose.
Authorities say Kathlyn Regina Huff evaded capture by leaving San Antonio, getting married and changing her name to Kathlyn Regenia Rose.
Acting on a tip, U.S. Marshals arrested the 58-year-old Wednesday outside her home 36 years after she disappeared from Texas.
Authorities say she was indicted in 1977 by a grand jury in Bexar County, Texas, on attempted murder charges. She's accused of shooting her common-law husband, who survived.
She was recently working at University of Michigan Health Center in Canton, where she is listed as a medical specialist. They conduct physical and occupational therapy at the clinic.
Neighbors say they believe she lived in Seattle in the 1980s and then moved to Michigan around the year 2000.
