CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

All eyes are on Beyoncé in Chicago and online after the sultry singer surprised fans and the music industry by releasing her album online in the wee hours of the morning.

"I see music, it's more than just what I hear," says Beyoncé on her new self-entitled album "Beyoncé" a visual album.

Leave it to Beyoncé to stir up social media and revolutionize the music industry.

"A great kept secret and she released the album on social only via iTunes with a teaser on Instagram video, it's a very unique way that only Beyoncé can do," said Digital Correspondent Sarah Evans in an interview with Fox 32's Tisha Lewis.

Queen Bey announced and released her self-entitled album Friday morning at midnight without advanced marketing or media. More than 80,000 copies of her new album were sold in three hours on iTunes.

"It's taking out a middle man and connecting them even further," said Evans.

"Everybody can't do that. Beyoncé to me is like the Tina Turner of this generation," said George Daniels.

Music industry veteran George Daniels suspects Beyoncé's husband music mogul Jay Z was behind the secret release that only a handful of label insiders reportedly knew about.

"With her being Mrs. Carter now I have a feeling Jay Z had a lot to do with this type of release and when I look at it, of course me being a brick and mortar retailer, I don't like it," said Daniels.

Daniels is the owner of George's Music Room with a location at Midway Airport.

"I'm looking forward to having the physical product… For them to take to social media and just use it the way they have is masterful," said Daniels.

Before heading to the United Center for her concert, Beyoncé stopped for lunch at Karyn's Fresh Corner Cafe, a raw vegan gourmet restaurant.
