CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A University of Chicago student was assaulted by two males Friday night while walking off campus in the South Side Hyde Park neighborhood.

About 7:30 p.m., the female was walking on Blackstone Avenue between 57th and 58th streets when two males pushed her into an alley and fondled her, according to a security alert issued Saturday by the university.

The victim walked home and later told police and a university staff member what happened, but the crime has not been reported to Chicago Police, according to the alert.

Students are advised to report crimes immediately by using an emergency phone or calling University of Chicago police.
