CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

The state Dept. of Children and Family Services is investigating the death Saturday of a two-month-old boy in the North Side Rogers Park neighborhood.

Za'neephiuce Johnson, of the 7600 block of North Sheridan Road, was pronounced dead at Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston at 8:29 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

DCFS is investigating allegations of neglect against the mother and her partner in the death of the child, who was also known as Brian Johnson, agency spokeswoman Karen Hawkins said.

DCFS was investigating a previous allegation of neglect against the pair when the child died, Hawkins said.

An autopsy performed on the child Sunday came back inconclusive, according to the medical examiner's office.

There were no other children in the home, Hawkins said.
