(WJBK) -

As the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy's assassination comes upon us, Fox 2 video editor Ken Krato shares his experience and memories of traveling with the president as a UPI photographer.

Krato photographed President Kennedy during a political trip in Tampa just two weeks before the assassination. He shares some of his photos of the president at Cape Canaveral, looking at rockets and missiles. Krato also saved several newspapers and magazines.

Krato was 21 when the president was killed. He describes the experience as "chilling." He says he can't help but wonder what it would have been like if the assassination took place in Tampa instead, where he had been working.

Right now the baseball diamond at the old Tiger Stadium is being used by little leaguers and even some vintage baseball teams. But that could change, even before this season is over.
