CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police are asking for the public's help in finding a potentially suicidal 37-year-old woman who went missing Thursday from the Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

Christina Brocks was last seen about 8 p.m. Thursday in the 2800 block of West Jackson Boulevard, according to a high-risk missing person alert from Chicago police.

Brocks has one leg amputated and uses a motorized wheelchair, according to the alert.

She has attempted suicide in the past and gave similar suggestions to friends via text before she was reported missing, the alert said.

Brocks is described as a 5-foot-4, 170-pound white woman with blue eyes, blonde hair and a light complexion, according to the alert.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Area North detectives at 312-744-8266.
