CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A contract worker at O'Hare International Airport died after he fell from a terminal roof Thursday morning.

The worker, who is not a city employee, fell from the roof of Terminal 5 to a lower level about 9:45 a.m., Department of Aviation spokeswoman Karen Pride said.

The man was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where he later died, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. His identity was not being released as of late Thursday morning.

Aviation would not provide information on what the worker was doing on the roof, or the company for which he worked.
