A west suburban man has won $150,000 in a Lucky Day Lotto drawing.

The numbers on 57-year-old Chi Wee's Quick Pick ticket — 02-07-17-22-35 — matched the winning numbers in the Oct. 9 Lucky Day Lotto evening drawing, according to the Illinois Lottery.

"I had a good feeling about the numbers on a Lucky Day Lotto Quick Pick ticket I bought two months ago, so I decided to play them regularly," Wee, an Illinois resident of 25 years who is originally from Taiwan, said in a statement.

"Words can't express how happy I am they hit," he said.

He plans to use his winnings to buy a car for his wife and pay for college for his two daughters.

Wee bought his ticket at True Discount Food Mart at 1155 Garfield St. in Oak Park. The store will receive a $1,500 bonus, or 1 percent of the winnings.
