11-12-13: Couples say "I do" for free in Gwinnett Co.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -

You'll never forget your wedding day, right?  That's especially true if you get married on 11/12/13!  In honor of the unique anniversary date, couples at the Gwinnett County courthouse got the chance to get hitched for free all day long. 

Magistrate Judge Janet Moja told FOX 5 last year, about 100 couples took advantage of the free weddings offered on 12/12/12.  By noon on Tuesday, Moja said about 20 couples had gotten hitched as part of the deal.

The free ceremonies were offered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, located at 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville. 

Ceremonies were performed on a first-come, first-served basis.
