Homeless Army veteran gets complete physical transformation

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Jim Wolf was a homeless United States Army veteran, struggling with alcoholism. Dégagé Ministries recently helped create an opportunity for Jim to turn his life around.

RobBlissCreative recorded a time-lapse of the ministry executing Jim's complete physical transformation this past September. They cut and styled Jim's hair, trimmed his beard, cleaned up his face and even changed out of his clothes into a brand new suit.

The look on Jim's face when he saw himself for the first time is priceless – you can see shock, surprise, incredulity, gladness and acceptance on his face, in what seems to be just a moment.

His broad smile seemed to fill the room when he got up to thank those responsible for his transformation. That gratitude solidified Jim's determination to turn his life around. He's attending Alcoholics Anonymous and has figured out a way to secure housing.

Here's to Jim taking positive steps in his life, and to honoring all of our vets this Veteran's Day.
