Many families have few rules when it comes to children's media use. It might be time to change that.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends parents make a media use plan for their families that takes into account not only the quantity, but the quality and location of media used.
It includes mealtime and bedtime curfews for media devices and encourages keeping all screen media like televisions, computers, tablets and the like out of kids' bedrooms.
The group recommends no more than 2 hours of entertainment screen time per day.
