Bully Police Squad helps keep kids safe from bullying

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

October is National Bully Prevention Month. The Bully Police Squad, which aims to keep kids safe from bullying, hosted a rally at Jane Addams Elementary on Monday.

The Bully Police Squad works with local schools to help teach children how to protect themselves from bullies, as well as how to reshape the attitudes of bullies themselves to help curb the negative behavior.

In a time where bullying is no longer contained to the hours of the school day and perpetuated on social media for all to see, the Bully Police Squad's efforts – and the efforts of other groups like them – have never been more important.

For more information on the program or to find out how you can bring the squad to your school, please call 312-859-2674.
