Local woman encouraging others to get mammograms on 'Make a Difference Day'

Saturday, October 26, is 'Make a Difference Day.'

Denise Ford has made it her mission to make a difference in the lives of women after her sister was diagnosed with and died of breast cancer.

Ford is asking all women to get a mammogram on this day. DMC Sinai Grace Hospital is extending their doors to help make the procedure available to women. Ford will be in the lobby throughout the day supporting and encouraging women to make an appointment.

Other projects are happening throughout metro Detroit on 'Make a Difference Day.'
