'Boo at the Nature Zoo' on Belle Isle this weekend

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

The Belle Isle Nature Zoo will host its 5th annual Boo at the Nature Zoo Friday, Oct. 25, and Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Halloween treats will be provided to all who attend, and children are encouraged to wear costumes and bring treat bags. Guests can go on a scavenger hunt and walk an indoor forest trail to search for treats to the sounds of Halloween. Admission to the Belle Isle Nature Zoo and all Boo at the Nature Zoo activities are free.

Located at the east end of Belle Isle near the Blue Heron Lagoon, the Belle Isle Nature Zoo is open Wednesday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April through October and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. November through March; closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
