Freeze warning in effect for Saturday morning

Posted: Updated:

Think you're cold now?  Wait until tomorrow morning!  The freeze watch that had been issued for Saturday has now become a freeze warning, and that means it's time to bundle up.

FOX 5 Storm Team meteorologist Jeff Hill says tonight and Saturday morning, we'll see the coldest temperatures of the weekend-- with lows dropping into the upper 20s and low 30s.  And no, that's not a typo.

A freeze warning has been issued for all of north and central Georgia from 2 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday morning.  You should be sure to protect any outdoor plants that could be harmed by the cold, and don't forget to bring in your pets, too.

There's better news as the weekend continues.  Sunny skies and milder air will develop through the weekend with high by Sunday near 70.
