After massive turnover, Hawks are Horford's team

AP Sports Writer

ATLANTA (AP) - Al Horford is still getting used to all the new faces.

That unfamiliarity can only mean one thing: the Atlanta Hawks are his team now.

Heading into his seventh season with the Hawks, Horford is the team's most tenured member by far. The 6-foot-10 center knows that he's being counted on to lead the way as Atlanta attempts to remake itself as a championship contender.

The Hawks failed to land a center to take some of the load off Horford, who is probably better suited to power forward. After some initial frustration, he now feels more comfortable about the system being installed by new coach Mike Budenholzer. Horford feels it will allow him to be a more versatile scorer and remove some of the burdens at the defensive end.
