CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police are searching for a group of males who have robbed at least two other groups of people on the South Side.

The robberies occurred within minutes of each other on Oct. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of East 50th Street and at 7:38 p.m. in the 5100 block of South Harper Avenue, according to an alert issued by police.

The suspects were described as three or four black males, between 15 and 21 years old. They stand between 5-foot-5 and 6-feet, and range in weight from 135 to 250 pounds, police said.

In the two robberies, the males approached another group of people, displayed a handgun and demanded they turn over what was in their pockets, police said.

Anyone with information of the robberies is asked to call Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380.
