Police: Fingerprints key to identifying missing Flat Rock woman

FRENCHTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) -

Michigan State Police say a body discovered in a wooded field in Monroe County has been identified as that of a missing woman from Flat Rock.

The body of 56-year old Janet Lennen was found off South Stony Creek Road near LaPrad Road in Frenchtown Township on Thursday. Because of the condition of the remains the cause of death has not been determined. The Michigan State Police Northville Laboratory was able to use fingerprint analysis to identify Lennen who had been reported missing to police in Flat Rock on October 3rd.
