APS bus drivers stage protest

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

Atlanta Public Schools bus drivers and monitors staged a protest outside of the bus yard on Wednesday.

The drivers said they're consistently underpaid for the hours they actually work due to payroll system glitches. They say transporting children is one of the most important jobs within the system, yet the superintendent and managers get lucrative pay raises and ignore the problem.

Bus drivers say they still haven't gotten paid for five days that they worked before the start of the school year.
