A northwest Indiana man with more than $500,000 in cocaine and two Ohio men were arrested and charged with drug possession in separate incidents last week in Lake County, Ind.

A Gary, Ind., man was charged with having more than $500,000 worth of cocaine, according to a release from the Lake County Sheriff's office. Corey Reed, 38, was charged with one count of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, a felony.

Reed allegedly had 4,300 grams of cocaine with a street value of more than $500,000, police said.

The next day, two Ohio men were arrested after 50 pounds of marijuana was discovered in their vehicle during a traffic stop, the release said.

Miguel Perez-Mendoza, 23, and Francisco Martinez, 33, were stopped for speeding on I-90 and their vehicle was searched, the release said.

Officers found 22 bales of packaged marijuana in the vehicle, the release said.
