Police: Serial 'office creeper' on the prowl

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

Police say an office creeper has struck more than 50 times in the metro Atlanta area.

Authorities say the man follows people into large office buildings and then searches for items – mainly laptops – that workers have left behind.

Police say the man goes by the names of Rickey Turner and Calvin Crenshaw. They say he carries a backpack that serves as his shopping bag for stolen items. He also carries a rag so that he doesn't leave fingerprints behind, officials said.

Turner was convicted on theft charges two years ago, but now authorities believe he's back to his old ways. He's allegedly struck everywhere from downtown and Midtown Atlanta to Dunwoody.

Anyone who has information on the suspect is asked to call at 404-577-TIPS(8477.)
