Police: Burglary suspect found hiding under child's bed

BROOKHAVEN, Ga. -

Police in Brookhaven say a burglary suspect was arrested after he was found hiding under a child's bed in the home he broke into.  According to investigators, a mother and two kids who live in the house were hiding down the hall in a closet.  

Officers were called to the home on East Brookhaven Drive just after 4 a.m. Friday.  When they arrived, they found a broken window on the back side of the house.  When they got inside, they say they found 21-year-old Jeffery Taylor of Atlanta hiding in an upstairs bedroom that belonged to one of the kids.  They say he was underneath the bed.

Neither the mother nor her children, who are ages 6 and 8, were hurt.  Taylor is being held in the DeKalb County Jail. He faces burglary charges.
