CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

In the near future meal worms may literally become our meals.

With nearly 8 million humans on Earth the job of providing a source of food including animal protein is becoming increasingly difficult and expensive. Experts are pointing to insects as the answer and now students from McGill University in Montreal are creating a "Power Flour" food which is derived from grasshoppers.

In many nations throughout Asia, South America and Africa insects are already part of the daily diet. Coming to a restaurant near you may also be meals of Mopane Caterpillars, Chapulines Grasshoppers, Witchetty Grubs, Termites, African Palm Weevils and Stinkbugs. Bon appetite!
