CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

At least three people were shot in the South Deering neighborhood Tuesday night.

The shooting occurred at a basketball court in the 2100 block of East 97th Street shortly after 9 p.m., according to Fire Media Affairs

A 15-year-old and a 17-year-old were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and a 16-year-old was taken to Comer Children's Hospital, Fire Media Affairs said.

The shooting happened near Merrill Playground Park, which is located on 97th Street, maps show.

Their genders and conditions were not immediately known.

Initial reports from police are that two gunmen were involved. Area South detectives are investigating.
