Falcons honor breast cancer survivors

Posted: Updated:

The Atlanta Falcons fans are treating a group of survivors in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Five ladies who beat breast cancer spent Tuesday afternoon getting makeovers at Van Michael Salon in Buckhead. They were then whisked by limo to "Ray's on the River" for a special dinner with a group of players and their wives.

The survivors will also be honored during the October 7 game against the New York Jets. A $2,900 grant courtesy of the NFL Foundation and Belk will be given to a local breast cancer awareness organization of the recipient's choice.
