DETROIT (AP) -

The U.S. Coast Guard has rescued six people from the Detroit River after their 20-foot sailboat capsized during stormy weather.

Rescuers responded Thursday after a search & rescue controller at Coast Guard Sector Detroit was contacted on VHF-FM marine radio about a capsized sailboat.

The rescue crew arrived on the scene near the Detroit Yacht Club, finding four people clinging to the sides of the sailboat and two people underneath. The crew brought all six aboard the rescue boat and took them to the Detroit Yacht Club. No injuries were reported.
