DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

Cousins Anas Zaitona and Fady Fareed want to set the record straight - they have no association with Tim Kanler, the guy who women say lured them to work at parties he claimed were being thrown by the Detroit Lions, and offering them hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars to do so.

Kanler used a Facebook profile to contact these women. Fox 2 has learned the profile picture Kanler used is also fake, and Zaitona and Fareed are the two actual people in the photograph.

VIDEO: The cousins speak out to Fox 2's Alexis Wiley

On Facebook, a profile picture is the main picture a user sees when viewing a person's Facebook profile.

Fareed says Kanler stole the picture off his Facebook page. The photo was taken last summer during a trip to Cancun.

The women Kanler approached say, at first, the potential job was about hosting or bartending the parties, but it then turned into much more.

One victim tells Wiley, "He asked about different girls and what kind of undergarments they wore. ... There was a lot of talk about who had 'booty.'"

That one victim has now turned into several. At least half a dozen more people have come forward to Fox 2 saying they were also contacted by Tim Kanler.

Kanler's Facebook page has since been taken down.

The Lions have no association with Kanler.
