JOLIET, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

One of the four people charged with strangling two men in Joliet will not be allowed to attend his grandfather's wake, a Will County judge has ruled.

Adam Landerman, 20, filed an emergency motion for furlough from jail to attend the wake for his grandfather, Fred Landerman, at Dames Funeral Home in Joliet.

Will County Judge Gerald Kinney denied the request Thursday morning, the Herald-News is reporting.

Landerman, who is being held in the Will County Jail jail on a $10 million bond, was charged in January with the murders of Eric Glover and Terrance Rankins.

Police say Landerman, Josh Miner, Bethany McKee and Alisa Massaro killed Glover and Rankins, both 22, in January at Massaro's Hickory Street residence.

Fred Landerman, 65, died Monday "after a long, hard battle with many medical challenges," according to an obituary posted on the funeral home website. His wake and funeral are scheduled for Saturday.
