FRANKFORT, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police are searching for three men who broke into a southwest suburban home and threatened the residents Thursday morning.

Police were called at 5:48 a.m. to the 1000 block of Prestwick Drive in Frankfort, where three men had just left in a white, four-door car believed to be a Toyota or Lexus.

Frankfort Police Deputy Chief Kevin Keegan said three men came into the house through an unlocked door. Two of them wore bandanas to cover their faces, the Herald news is reporting.

No one was injured, but one of the masked men was carrying a knife and the other implied he was carrying a handgun, Keegan said. All three were described as white or Hispanic with dark hair and average builds.

Anyone with information should call 815-469-9435.
