CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

FOX 32 News has learned that former Cubs Manager Dusty Baker is going to bat for a former White Sox executive who could be sentenced to prison on Wednesday.

David Wilder, a one-time scouting executive for the south siders, pleaded guilty to taking kickbacks from players he helped sign in Latin America.

FOX 32 has learned that Baker has written the judge on Wilder's behalf, asking for leniency and telling the judge that Wilder still has a lot to offer society.
