SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (myFOXDetroit.com) -

In the latest Fox-E report, Robin Schwartz takes us to the Ford Research and Innovation Center in Dearborn to check out some of the latest renewable resources Ford is using in its vehicles.

 - Coin tray made from shredded dollars
 - Wheel liners made from recycled plastic bottles
 - Carpet insulation made from the leftover cotton as t-shirts and jeans are made
 - Seat foam made from soy instead of petroleum-based foam

Dr. Debbie Mielewski of the Ford Research Biomaterials Group says researchers are even looking at even more resources for future products, such as the hair on coconuts and cigarette filters.
