UNION CITY, Ga. -

A Fulton County Public Works employee found a man and a woman who'd suffered gunshot wounds near Georgia Highway 92 in south Fulton County Friday morning, according to the Union City Police Department.

The worker first saw the woman lying dead in the middle of McClure Road, a rocky road amid a heavily forested area. The worker then came across the man lying in the woods, near the side of the same road. The man was still alive.

Both had been shot, police said.

The man was taken to a local hospital. Neither his name, nor the name of the female gunshot victim, has been released.

Investigators searched the area for clues on Friday afternoon. There was no word on any arrests.
