Lockdown lifted at 3 Henry County schools

Posted: Updated:
HENRY COUNTY, Ga. -

A lockdown was briefly in effect for Eagle's Landing High School, Eagle's Landing Middle School & Flippen Elementary School, according to a spokesperson for Henry County Schools. That lockdown was lifted around 3:45 p.m.

Spokesperson J.D. Hardin said it was a precautionary move after a reported robbery at the corner of Tunis and Jodeco roads. There is "no danger or suspect on campus," Hardin said.

Dismissal procedures for the schools were suspended until law enforcement gave the all-clear.

The suspects were later believed to have moved out of the area and clearance was given to being dismissal.

This is not related to the gun scare and evacuation at Ronald McNair Discovery Academy Elementary School in DeKalb County.
