Anonymous note special to Army veteran

Posted: Updated:

A simple note of thanks has a special meaning to an Army war veteran.

Erik Goroshko found the note on his car window. The message read, "Thanks for your service and sacrifice."

A woman put it there after noticing his veteran's license plate. She told Goroshko she left the message in honor of her father, who served in World War II.

After serving 11 years in the Army and three tours in Iraq, Goroshko says the note means the world to him.

The anonymous woman told the soldier she's been putting the notes on veterans' cars for years.
