Quinn`s pay freeze, Zimmerman trial drama, Tsarnaev pleads not guilty: Chat Room

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

On Thursday's Chat Room, former White House insider Laura Schwartz joined GDC anchor Anna Davlantes to discuss Governor Quinn's decision to freeze lawmakers' pay for inaction on a deal to solve Illinois' nearly $100 billion pension crisis with comedian Patti Vasquez and FOX 32's Anita Padilla.

The ladies also discussed Anna Wintour's defense of Kate Upton and how she thinks the fashion industry's definition of beauty needs to change, as well as how "Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara thinks being sexy is no big deal.

"I'm Latin; I (get glammed up) no matter what. It's automatic," Vergara said. "I shower, do hair and makeup. For me, it's like shaving. I don't believe in a natural look. Lipstick brightens your face! Unless you're Gisele Bündchen or 19, you need something... Most of my girlfriends are very good with it because they're Latin, but some of the Americans, I give them lipstick like, 'Put it on!'"

Attorney Karen Conti joined the Chat Room to discuss two criminal cases making some shocking national headlines: The George Zimmerman trial for the murder of Trayvon Martin in Florida, and Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's first public hearing.
