Five wounded in Roseland shooting, person in custody

Five people were wounded in a shooting Sunday night in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The shooting happened about 8:10 p.m. in the 11300 block of South Forest Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien said.

Police said the shooting is possibly the result of a dispute between a landlord and tenants. Area South detectives have one person in custody and are investigating.

One male was shot multiple times and listed in critical condition, police said. A female was shot in the neck and listed in good condition. Another male was shot in the leg and listed in good condition. Two other males were shot in the shoulder and are both in good condition.

Two people were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and two people were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to Fire Media Affairs.
