ATLANTA -

Police arrested two suspects in an armed carjacking that took place close to Atlanta's Atlantic Station on Friday.

The victim told police that she was approached by two suspects around 6:20 p.m. on Francis Street. She said one of the suspects had a gun.

"She was in the car starting the engine, two guys roll up in a car, a kid get gets out with a gun and holds a gun up saying, 'Give me your stuff,'" said the victim's boyfriend. "She gets out of the car and they make her lie on the ground. The kid gets in the car and drives off."

One of the men took her vehicle, while another fled in a different vehicle, police said.

An officer then spotted the victim's vehicle a short time later. The driver fled on foot but was apprehended in the 900 block of Confederate Avenue.

Witnesses said the suspect looked very young, but Atlanta police said that he is 18.

The suspect's name has not been released as police said that they are investigating if he is possibly involved in other crimes.

Authorities tracked down the second suspect a short time later. He is said to be 22.

No names have been released.
