Robberies increase in Grand Boulevard neighborhood

Police are seeking the public's help in finding two suspects wanted for robberies in the South Side Grand Boulevard neighborhood.

The suspects rob their victims using force or by displaying a handgun, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.

The robberies occurred in the 4800 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue at 3 p.m. June 17 and in the 4800 Block of South Champlain Avenue at 11:15 p.m. June 21.

The suspects are described as one or two black males, the alert said. One suspect is described as 6-feet-3, 280 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
