CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. -

A 5-month-old child and two other people were injured after a truck rolled and landed on a wall on Interstate 575 in Woodstock on Thursday.

The accident took place on I-575 northbound at RidgeWalk Parkway Bridge. The male driver had to be removed from the vehicle and transported to the hospital. He was listed in critical condition, according to Tim Cavender of Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services.

A woman was able to get herself and her 5-month old child out of the vehicle. The woman suffered cuts and appeared to be in stable condition, Cavender said. The child did not have any external injuries and was conscious and alert. The child was life-flighted to Scottish Rite Children's Hospital, while the two adults were taken to Kennestone Hospital.

One northbound lane remained opened as crews worked to clear the scene.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
