Traffic Alert: Major delays on Hall Rd following train accident

MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. (WJBK) -

UPDATE: As of 3:02pm, Grosebeck Highway is back open.

The Macomb County Sheriff's Office is asking motorists to avoid Hall Road (M-59) between Gratiot Avenue and Groesbeck Highway after a man was hit and killed by a train Saturday morning. Sheriff Anthony Wickersham says that the man was struck by a southbound train around 10:00 a.m. So far no details about the victim are being released.

Major delays in the area are being reported. West bound Hall Road remains closed due to the accident investigation. East bound Hall Road will be opened as soon as the crossing gates can be raised.
