Cubs CF David DeJesus injured crashing into wall

Posted: Updated:

NEW YORK (AP) - Chicago Cubs center fielder David DeJesus has left a game against the New York Mets after he crashed into the outfield fence.

DeJesus appeared to hurt his right shoulder Friday night after Juan Lagares' third-inning triple ticked off the end of his glove. DeJesus was running almost full speed when he extended his right arm, which slammed into the padded wall in right-center at Citi Field.

His glove was knocked off his hand, and DeJesus immediately went down, writhing in pain on the warning track as he reached for his right shoulder.
