Security changes coming to this year's Target Fireworks

DETROIT (WJBK) -

Officials are taking extra safety precautions during this year's Target Fireworks in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Dave Mayor Dave Bing says visitors will be not be able to enter Belle Isle until 2 p.m. on show day, scheduled for Monday, June 24. Visitors will not be able to set up at Hart Plaza until 2 p.m. as well.

Bing also says coolers and bags will be allowed, but will be inspected by authorities.
