Sky G Epiphanny Prince injured in exhibition vs China

CHICAGO, June 6, 2013 — Chicago Sky guard Epiphanny Prince was injured during a friendly against the Chinese national team Thursday.  Prince, who was competing for the Russian national team, sprained her ankle coming down from a jump shot. Further medical evaluation is necessary to determine the severity of the injury.

Prince, a 5-9 guard, has averaged 20.7 points, 3.3 assists and two steals in her three game appearances this season with the Sky. On Tuesday, Prince joined her national team to compete in the EuroBasket tournament. The top five teams earn a spot at the 2014 world championships.

The Sky will face the San Antonio Silver Stars at the AT&T Center in San Antonio on Friday, June 7. They return to the Allstate Arena to finish the home-to-home series on Sunday, June 9.
