SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (myFOXDetroit.com) -

Governor Snyder has launched the volunteer campaign, "Let's Do Something, Michigan!" to encourage Michiganders to take action in their communities.

Using DoSomethingMichigan.com, Michiganders can get connected to volunteer opportunities, share their stories of volunteerism or successes in the state, and pledge to get others involved.

Users who sign up at this web site, DoSomethingMichigan.com, will be directed to various volunteer opportunities, compiled with the help of D:hive Detroit, more than 100 organizations across the state, and Volunteer Michigan through the Michigan Community Service Commission.

You can also text the word 'action' to 25827 or call (855) 440 - 6424 for more information.
